Greg Appelt

Greg Appelt is the founder and CEO of RISE (now Appelt Properties), a commercial development business specializing in multi-family apartments and healthcare real estate. Greg began his career as a physician, receiving his MD from the University of Manitoba and specialty degree from the University of British Columbia. He went on to operate a thriving practice as an allergist. While searching for new office space, he decided to develop his own property to meet the specific needs of his practice and to create equity through ownership. Through this process, Greg recognized a market opportunity in which his unique understanding of the specialized needs of medical office facilities would be invaluable.

He started Appelt Properties time in 2010, and since then, he and his team have developed and acquired over 1 million square feet of real estate across Canada. 

Under Greg’s leadership, the team has grown to become the largest private healthcare real estate landlord in Canada.  This is in addition to building out a multi-family apartment development arm with projects across the country and a property management company.
