OUR TEAM

Greg Appelt

CEO/FOUNDER

Greg is a born entrepreneur, although his path to entrepreneurship was somewhat unconventional. Greg earned his MD from the University of Manitoba, and went on to run his own thriving practice as an allergist. It was at that stage of life, a stage many people would consider the pinnacle of their careers, that Greg was just getting started. He became interested in commercial real estate and decided his first venture would be the construction of his own medical building. After its successful completion, Greg knew he’d discovered a new vocation. He founded a commercial development business, RISE (formerly Appelt Medical Developments) with the intention of helping business owners across Western Canada create equity by owning their own office building, the same way he’d been able to. In five years, RISE has developed more than $100 million in commercial assets and has it's very own successful property management division. A driven and focused leader, Greg’s vision is the guiding force behind RISE’s success. This vision coupled with tremendous tenacity, gives Greg a knack for bringing out the best in the people around him. When he's off the clock, Greg can be found on the lake or the slopes, enjoying time with his wife and three kids.
